The Best Ways to Remove Liquid Lipstick!

Posted by Lanie Edwards on Apr 06, 2018

Everyone loves a long-lasting lipstick, and nothing compares to our LiveGlam lippie formulas! Not only are they lightweight, flexible, and delicious-smelling, but they also don’t budge and last a super long time! But, with all that lasting power, you can’t just easily swipe it off. So, here are the best ways to remove those pretty shades from your pout!

When removing stubborn liquid lipstick with a makeup wipe, your lips can be left feeling dry and chapped. While makeup wipes will take our formula off, you do have to do a little bit of scrubbing and it can make your lips feel uncomfortable. So, try out these pout-friendly options instead!

1. Oil

Head to your kitchen and grab an oil like olive oil, coconut oil, or even baby oil. Simply use a cotton round to dab the oil over your lips and watch the lipstick melt off! Your lips will also feel very hydrated and healthy afterwards.

2. Vaseline

Vaseline also works wonders to remove lippies. Just apply it to your lips, let it sit for a minute, and then wipe it off with a tissue. The color will wipe off with the vaseline!

3. Micellar Water

Micellar water is far less harsh than makeup wipes, and your lips will still feel hydrated. It’s made up of tiny balls of cleansing oil molecules (called micelles) infused in water. The micelles attract oil and dirt without drying out the skin, and work to remove color as well! You can get Micellar water at any drugstore for an affordable price.

4. Lip Balm

If you’re on the go and want to remove or change your lip color, you can always use lip balm! Similar to vaseline, just apply your lip balm, let it sit, and then wipe it away. Our Liveglam Tinted Lip Balm, Shnooks adds a sweet hint of mauve if you still want your pout to have some color (just make sure to reapply after wiping your lipstick away)!

5. Lip Scrub

To really get that lip color off, try out something like our LiveGlam Mint To Be Sugar Lip Scrub! Not only will this remove your lippie from the day, but it’s mango butter-infused formula tastes yummy and leaves you with the softest lips!

6. Toothbrush

If you still have patches after removing your lipstick, take a toothbrush (NOT the one you use to brush your teeth, obvi), and gently scrub it off. This will fully remove any leftover residue and have your lips squeaky clean. Always follow with a lip balm to make sure your lips are nice and moisturized. We always wanna make sure your pout is ready for another day of wearing our fabulous lippies!
