We all love a good beauty hack, and a simple DIY project will give you the chance to have some fun and get creative!
Great beauty hacks will save you time, money, and… well, what else is there really?
Now, the number of beauty hacks out there are completely overwhelming and surely we’ve seen enough of the ‘hacks’ that just don’t do much. But I’ve come across a handful of tips and tricks that are actually incredibly useful and have become a part of my routine!
Here are 3 simple beauty hacks that are complete game-changers:
1. DIY oil blotting sheets
We all love our skin to have a bit of a glow or a poppin’ highlight, but greasy skin…well no one’s a fan of greasy skin! Whether or not you’ve got an oily complexion, a midday blotting session is the best way to instantly freshen up your look.
Oil absorbing sheets are a godsend and they’re a simple solution in mattifying unwanted shine QUICK.
Although blotting sheets aren’t going to make a huge dent in your wallet, they’re actually super easy to make on your own and they’ll get the job done much better! All you need is a brown paper bag (surprisingly, they make the best blotting papers), a pair of scissors, and a piece of string.
First, cut the brown bag into small rectangles or just about any shape you’d like! Then, tie the bundle up with a piece of string.
You’ve got your own oil absorbing sheets in less than 2 minutes!
2. Eyeshadow primer on your t-zone area
Yes, I know there are face primers out there. But trust me on this one.
You’re getting ready to leave the house and you already know that it’s going to be a super long day or night! You pray that your makeup will look even half as good when you’re heading home as it did when you left.
The secret is Urban Decay’s Eyeshadow Primer Potion.
Apply a fair amount of this eyeshadow primer over your t-zone area and under your eye. Your makeup will stay put until you’re ready to take it off!
3. Revive dried up eyebrow pomade
Gone are the days of replacing your dried up eyebrow pomade with a new one. Simply add a drop of face oil to your dried up pot of pomade and mix it up with a toothpick (so you don’t waste any product by using a brush)!
This is also a great way to make sure the consistency of your brow product is always just right, so you can achieve sharp, fine lines!
