If this year has got you feeling a bit disoriented (and exhausted), makeup comes to the rescue! Get to that Christmas party (even if it’s on Zoom), pop on those themed earrings, and get your glam on with the best holiday eye makeup looks of 2020.Â
Bright silver shadowÂ
Cool-toned eye colors are coming back in a major way. Instead of going for powdery greys and taupe, try a bright, silver glitter over the entire lid. Take a painterly approach and slick opaque silver shadow over the lid, up to the crease. Keep the lower lash line completely clean and finish the look with nothing but a slick of mascara. Burgundy and goldÂ
Warm, regal tones of burgundy and gold are a winter evening dream. Buff a burgundy matte shadow into the crease and outer corner, then deepen with a black shadow to your smoky preference. Use a gold glitter liner or shimmer into the center of the lid and finish with fluffy falsies.Â

Candy canes and glitter
Hey, a literal interpretation of the theme is always welcome! Get festive with a candy cane cut crease and your favorite glitter liners. Start by buffing a green shadow into the crease and along the lower lash line. Draw a thick-ish line with white liquid liner through the crease, and create an outer-corner wing. Take a red liquid liner (or red shadow mixed with mixing medium) and draw little lines across your white crease and wing. Voila, candy cane! Stark white eyeshadow
If smoky hues and metallic accents just aren’t doing it for you this year, go minimal! Use the fresh snow as your inspo and go for an opaque white shadow. Use a white liquid liner or eye paint to draw a graphic wing that extends to the crease with crisp outlines. Add some wispy falsies to the outer corner lashes and flush those cheeks like you’ve been building snowmen.Â
