Tomorrow is officially our day ladies! International Women’s Day is celebrated on March 8th every year to commemorate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women all around the globe. In true #LiveGlamFam fashion, check out some of our favorite beauty products created by women to rock on the big day and show those men who’s boss!
ITEMS EVERY WOMAN SHOULD OWN:
-Little Black Dress
-Strappy s- ok now that the men have stopped reading, we revolt at dawn.

When we think of a true girl boss that’s shaking up the beauty industry, Rihanna instantly comes to mind. Her Fenty Beauty line has been breaking barriers and snatching faces of women around the world since its release, and was created “so that women everywhere would be included.”
So, start off your International Women’s Day look with the Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Primer. This shine-stopping primer will give you an even, smooth base to apply your foundation and make it last extra long. Hey, your makeup needs to last throughout a long, tiring day of being that b*tch.
For foundation, head over to our girl Huda Kattan, who went from beauty blogger to owning an extremely successful makeup company. The Huda Beauty #FauxFilter Foundation is a crowd favorite and delivers a full, airbrushed finish. It also comes in 30 shades, from fair to rich, so that everyone can find their true match.
Thanks to Emily Weiss, our favorite celebrities have been rocking her brand Glossier on the red carpet (um, hello Beyoncé). Within 3 years, Emily went from beauty blogger to CEO of a cult beauty brand, and has been killin’ the game on the daily.
For those brows, use Glossier’s Boy Brow, an eyebrow filler and shaper. Not only is the name fantastic and fits our women’s day theme perfectly, but the actual product will have those brows on fleek. Just sweep it on your brows to thicken, fill in, and groom them into place.
4) Eyeshadow Primer
For your eyes, start by priming them with the OG Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion. Who hasn’t tried this primer? Urban Decay was founded by creative visionary Wende Zomnir, and the brand has it’s very own global initiative to empower women called The Ultraviolet Edge.
Buying products like this primer potion helps fund organizations that fight for women rights everywhere, and Urban Decay has donated over $2 million to women’s empowerment nonprofits in the past 2 years. So yes, your crazy beauty spending habits are actually making a difference in this case ladies!
For eyeshadow, try some Makeup Geek pigments, founded by talented Makeup Educator Marlena Stell! At the age of 35, Marlena built a $10M business through YouTube, and is still rapidly growing.
Aside from her inspirational story, her products are amazing. If you’re looking for super pigmented, cruelty-free and affordable makeup, Makeup Geek is your brand! Check out this great selection of eyeshadow pigments for your Women’s Day glam.
If you wanna bring some drama, pop on a pair of lashes from Dose of Colors! Founded by makeup artist and blogger Anna Petrosian, she single handily created the cruelty-free makeup brand in 2013. Since its launch, the brand has grown tremendously. As of next week, Dose of Colors products will be available at Ulta (congrats Anna)!
For a super glam women’s day look, we recommend the Dose of Drama lashes!
7) Bronze & Highlight
For bronzer and a highlight that’ll blind anyone that gets in our way, check out Milk Makeup, co-founded by beauty and fashion editor and E! News correspondent Zanna Roberts Rassi. Though Zanna is one busy woman, she’s still found the time to make some pretty badass makeup products. To add some warmth to your face, check out the Matte Bronzer Stick. And, for a galactic glow (since women are out of this world), try the Holographic Highlighting Stick.
Lastly, to embody the Queen that you are, rock our LiveGlam Lippie Club KissMe shade in Royal to add the perfect finishing touch to your look. This pinky-mauve tone looks gorgeous on all skin tones and will have you feeling like royalty. This shade was a part of our July Collection, so if you missed it, be sure to join KissMe for more shades that will make you feel like an invincible woman with smudge-proof lipstick!
