Just a few drops of this transforming liquid can revive a dried out gel liner, mascara or liquid lipstick (safe to use on your waterline and lips!). Our next ride-or-die is Mac Fix+ Setting Spray. This bottle of sunshine and joy can be used as a primer, to intensify your eyeshadow/highlight, to blend out concealer, or as a setting spray (go figure) to get a long-lasting dewy finish to your makeup. This is a product that will quickly work its way into your everyday makeup routine. Beware of it’s addiction forming properties– like all day slayage, and perfectly dewy skin that makeup that just melts into.
#3 Laura Mercier Translucent Powder
Like Mac Fix+, we’ve found another addiction forming product in this translucent setting powder from Laura Mercier. Whether you bake your face or just need to set your foundation and concealer to get rid of that extra slip, this is your go-to powder! It’s so light and silky on your skin, you’d never know you have it on. It actually helps to hide the appearance of pores, and doesn’t look cakey or flakey, even on dry skin. It also doesn’t turn bright white in flash photography like SOME lesser powders do (cough cough MUFE HD Powder). This stuff is perfection in powder form.
#4 Smith’s Rosebud Salve
Next up we have a yummy little salve that you can just bathe in. The Rosebud Salve makes our list for being so ridiculously versatile, adorable, and it smells like roses! The packaging is an old-fashioned looking tin that reminds me of a nick-nack I’d see in my granny’s kitchen. And like any good grandma remedy, this stuff will save you. Use this salve to hydrate your lips and make them glossy and delightful. Also put it on your cuticles to keep them soft and supple, apply it to your undereye at night to wake up perfectly moisturized, or apply a thin layer anywhere you have dry, flakey skin. You can even put it on scrapes or burns to heal the skin! I know when my lips aren’t painted with favorite (drying!) liquid lipsticks, they’re smothered in this salve.
#5 Origins Eye Cream
Our final product on this list of gold is Origins Eye Cream. We have the Plantscription anti-aging cream here (sorry for the teeny sample– but it lasts SO long), but they also have the Ginzing refreshing and brightening eye cream, so you can grab the one that addresses any concerns you might have. Word for the wise, you’re never too young to use eye cream. They give you so much hydration to your delicate under eye area!
