We are head over heels for the contouring and highlight trend! It began as a magical mystery of professional makeup artists until it hit mainstream around 2012 when Kim K released her makeup artist, Scott Barnes’, tricks to get that perfectly chiseled face she is so known for.
It started as a fad, the fad became a trend, and the trend worked it’s way into your vanities. From there, contouring has taken a turn and become both an art form and a surgery-free way to transform just about any part of your body. Whether your sole purpose is a straight nose, a booty lift, chest enhancements, or a perfectly chiseled… foot– contour and highlight has you covered (quite literally)! Skip the sit-ups and step on over to your makeup brushes.
While the appeal for a perfectly contoured nose or décolletage is more obvious, we found ourselves asking, “what’s next?” Well, we put our best foot forward on this trend.
All jokes aside, while this may seem like a silly practice to most, it is actually a practical thing for professionals.
