By now, liquid lipsticks are an essential product in almost everyone’s makeup collection. We can’t even remember what our lives were like before our fast-drying KissMe lippies, besides annoyingly marking our territory on every coffee mug or wine glass in sight.
While we all know how magical and life-changing liquid lipsticks can be for any pair of lips, sometimes achieving that flawless pout can be challenging. To help you out, we’re providing some tips and tricks on how to get the most out of your KissMe Lippies for any occasion!
If you’re a member of LiveGlam’s KissMe Club, you already know how long-lasting and buttery our formula is. On top of being cruelty-free and vegan, our KissMe liquid lipsticks feel moisturizing and flexible on the lips, topped with a delicious scent. While you don’t need much to make our lippies look amazing on you, it never hurts to take these extra steps for the best results:
1. Exfoliate
With the colder months approaching, lips can start to feel drier than ever. As an avid liquid lipstick wearer, dry lips and liquid pigment do not mesh well. This is why we recommend exfoliating before applying. If not, liquid lipstick can settle into fine lines and accentuate dryness.
You can make your own exfoliator using common household items such as brown sugar and honey (or olive oil) to prep your lips for our gorgeous shades.
2. Moisturize
While our formula is moisturizing, some may still need that extra layer for an extra smooth application. The key to maintaining healthy, moisturized lips starts with lots of water. Or, of course, you can use your favorite lip balm for instant results.
3. Line those lips!
You can do a lot of things with lip liner, such as reshape your lips or add a nice base for your liquid lipstick to adhere to. Since our KissMe lippies are very opaque, using a liner isn’t a necessity. However, if you have trouble tracing your lips with an applicator, using a liner as a guide is a great option.
Start by outlining your lips, then fill them in completely. For this month’s Send Nudes collection, we recommend these lip liners to pair with the lippies:

4. Less is more
LiveGlam’s KissMe lippies are very pigmented, so you don’t need a lot to have your lips on fleek. To have more control, try wiping off the wand a little before applying. That way you’re not applying too much or risk smudging it. Check out our video below to see the flawless application!
5. Take your time
Once your liquid lippie dries, it’s not budging and will remain on your lips all day long. So, make sure to apply it carefully and use a mirror. If you do mess up, dip a cotton swab in makeup remover or cream to remove excess product. You can also use a concealer that matches your skin tone to touch up around the lips and perfect the look!
For the concealer trick, we recommend using a lip brush from your LiveGlam MorpheMe collection, such as the MB26.
Quick tip: If you want a lighter finish or make the formula more like a lip stain, apply the lipstick and blot your lips directly afterwards. This will leave them with a hint of color that will last all day or night.
7. Get glossy!
