Packaging
If you are all about the finer things in life, this simple but bright design may not appeal to your glamdar. Origins natural beauty products lend towards a earthy and energetic design, one that I can get down with. The bottle is an unassuming beige tone with a vibrant orange wand! The wand is one of the “fuzzy” kind that I love. It coats your lashes to give you a nice, thick appearance! More of a fullness than the spidery length some mascara give you.
This packaging does the trick for me! I like the bright bottle, it makes it easy to spot in a drawer full of black and silver mascara bottles. But what I really love is the wand, my kinda wizardry. 5 for Packaging!
Performance
Always remember that looks don’t matter as much as what’s on the inside. (Right? Right? We keep telling ourselves that.) But have no fear, here, cause what I really love about this mascara is the wear! It stays on my watery, smudgy eyes all day with no transfer. I don’t get black smudges in my creases, no raccoon eyes on the bottom, nothing! Just the blackest of lashes, exactly how I want ‘em.
The mascara wand and formula lend to a thicker lash style! You can get some length outta it, but definitely expect more thickness. Coming from a girl with the straightest lashes know to mankind, this mascara holds a curl decently well for me! So if you’re blessed lashes that look towards the sky, I bet this one would hold a beautiful curl for you. If tired of living in shade from your straight lashes blocking your vision, then I hope you have a lash curler and blow dryer in your arsenal! Using these 2 items to curl my lashes, the Origins Ginzing Brightening Mascara will keep em going!
Until I can find another mascara to hold a curl like my Bae does (Maybelline Full N Soft) then you just gotta take a lil L there. So we’ll give 4 on performance!
Price
At the end of the day, a product’s performance is only as good as the the cost that represents it! I don’t personally enjoy buying a product based solely on a name if it can’t give me an allstar performance. The Origins Ginzing Brightening Mascara is $19.50 for .47oz (which is actually on the large size for a mascara). When I calculate how well this mascara performs, particularly how long I can wear it, I think the value is obvious. I guess everything can’t be drugstore prices, but the petty in me is still taking off for it. 4.5 is my score on price!
