How To Perform A Simple Allergy Test
Patch testing is an easy method to check your compatibility with a new product. If you have sensitive or allergic skin, it’s always a good idea to perform one before using something new. It’s simple and really effective, here’s how:
- Wash, dry and clean a small area on your upper or inner arm.
- Apply a small amount of the product to the area.
- Cover it with a bandage.
- Leave the patch test in place for at least 24 hours without getting it wet.
- If you are sensitive to any of the ingredients, you’ll notice reddening, burning, itching, or other irritation within twenty-four hours.
- If you experience any of these reactions, remove the bandage immediately and wash the area with soap and water.
- Discontinue use of the product and consult a physician as needed.
