Beauty Hacks: How to Get Ready Faster!
Looking like your best self in the morning is a huge struggle when you’re practically racing out of the house. For 2020, let’s try to cut out a few minutes (maybe even 10 or 20) from our morning routines to catch a couple more Zzzzz’s. Here are a few tricks to help you get ready faster and be more efficient this year!
1. Take it up a notch with your daily skincare routine
A naturally radiant complexion sets the foundation for flawless makeup application.
Taking better care of your skin is one of the easiest ways to cut some time out of your makeup routine. It makes a huge difference when your skin is adequately hydrated since you won’t have to deal with any dry patches or flakes.
By showing your skin some more love on a regular basis, you can look forward to a brighter and more even complexion… which means, you can get away with wearing less makeup!
2. Use your fingers to apply makeup
This might seem a little odd to someone who’s used to applying their makeup with several different brushes. But trust me, you can save A LOT of time and your makeup actually ends up looking just as great.
Another huge bonus? Less brushes to wash.
Of course, you’ll still need to use a brush for very specific parts of your makeup routine like bronzer, contour, or face powder. But you can use your fingers to apply concealer, foundation, highlighter, or even your eyeshadow (if you only intend on wearing a soft wash of one shade).
3. Go for a bold lip color
There’s something particularly striking about a bold red pout that makes your entire look appear more polished and put together.
When you’re going with a bold lip color, the key is to keep it simple with the rest of your makeup. A fresh-faced complexion pairs exceptionally well with a red lip… which works out perfectly for us since we’re trying to cut some time out of our morning routine!
4. Plan your outfits over the weekend
Get your outfits ready ahead of time. Yes, outfitS.
We all know how frustrating it is when we plan out an outfit the night before (in our head), and the next morning… it just ain’t it. Now you’re scrambling to find something decent to wear and debating whether or not you should just go with your go-to outfit that you’ve already worn one too many times.
The simple solution here is to get a bunch of outfits ready over the weekend. Try them on so you KNOW they’ll look cute. Then set them aside so you have more options to choose from during the week!
