What’s your undertone?
With most makeup choices, it’s crucial to first identify what the undertone of your skin is. This can be either cool (pink), neutral, or warm (yellow). The easiest way to tell this is by your veins. Take a look at your wrist. If your veins look more blue or purple, then you have a cool undertone. If they look green, you’re warm. If you can’t tell or they’re a mixture, you’re likely neutral!
Another easy way to tell is through your preference in jewelry. If you look better in silver, you likely have a cool undertone. If you love to rock gold, you’re probably warm. If both suit you, neutral it is! Fair complexions also tend to have more pink-based undertones, medium complexions tend to be more neutral, and deeper complexions likely have warm undertones.

If you have a cool undertone, you should choose red lippies that also have a cool undertone, such as blue-reds. Neutral
