Get Ready with Kourtney Kardashian
In her GRWM video with Vogue, Kourtney Kardashian shows us she’s the sister with the most interesting skincare routine to look at.
In her Guide to Natural-ish Masking and Makeup, she walks us through her morning skincare routine and her go-to makeup look when she does her own makeup. Surprisingly, (well not much of a surprise because it’s Kourtney) she spends a lot more time taking care of her skin than she does applying makeup.
Besides giving us plenty of useful tips and info, we can also appreciate her thorough explanation on why she prefers to use clean beauty products.
The main takeaway? It really shows when you shower your skin with love in the AM and PM.
Here are some useful steps that we can incorporate into our own routines!
1. Show your skin some love in the morning!
When Kourtney started whipping up a face mask with honey – we knew this wasn’t the typical morning GWRM.
Let’s be real – most of us don’t have time to do a purifying face mask in the morning, but it’s definitely something we can try out on a day off! As she applies her face mask, she takes the time to explain why she opts for clean beauty products.
“I try to use clean beauty products as much as possible. The beauty reform laws have not been changed in 80 years. And it is sadly up to us, as consumers, to try and figure out what is safe and not safe.” – Kourtney Kardashian
2. DIY lip scrub
After applying her face mask, she mixes up her own lip scrub with natural ingredients, such as honey, coconut oil, and organic raw sugar. If you’re planning on wearing a bold lip color, a DIY lip scrub is a great way to prep your lips for flawless application!
3. Wear sunscreen
It’s safe to say that Kourtney knows a thing or two about skincare since she’s practically looked the same for the past two decades.
At the end of her skincare regimen, she applies a layer of sunscreen onto her face and uses the excess product on her hands to coat the back of her hands.
Rain or shine, it’s important to use sunscreen regularly. Besides protecting your skin from the harmful effects of UV rays (even when it’s cloudy out), sunscreen also has anti-aging benefits.
4. Use bronzer to contour your eyes
Kourtney keeps it simple by using the same bronzer to bronze her face, contour her nose, and then sweeping it onto her lids for a natural wash of color.
