Inspiration for Your Fall Glam!

With fall now here in full force, it’s time to start thinking about how to switch up your glam for the szn! Without a doubt, the world of high fashion is one of the best places to turn to for some creative makeup inspo. Here’s how you can recreate some of the most coveted makeup looks that are currently dominating the runway!

Barely-there makeup

If you’re all about the fresh-faced ‘no makeup’ makeup look, you’ll be happy to hear that one of the top beauty trends this season was… just keeping it simple.

How to recreate this look?

Keep it fresh-faced by sticking with the essentials to enhance your natural beauty rather than covering things up. The key to achieving the perfect ‘no makeup’ makeup look is to keep your skin nourished.

Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate!

Ditch the heavy liquid foundation for BB cream or tinted moisturizer. Use two different concealer formulas to brighten up your complexion and to blur out any imperfections! Using two different concealers is a great way to bring more dimension into your skin tone.

Instead of using heavy, dark shades to contour your face, use bronzer for a softer face sculpt. Then apply a coat of mascara to the lashes to lift and extend them.

Complete the look by lining the lips with a neutral-toned lip liner. Add some of the color into the area near the center of your upper and bottom lip. Next, use your finger to apply lip balm onto your lips and to blend out those harsh lines for a fuller, luscious pout!

Soft pink and purple shades

Runways for the top fashion houses have been flooded by variations of the ‘pretty in pink’ motif, featuring stunning color combinations and elaborate techniques using either a pink or purple shade – from soft, pastel hues to vibrant shades topped up with glitter.

How to recreate the ‘pretty in pink’ look in your everyday makeup routine?

Apply a soft wash of pastel pink or lilac over your lid, and bring it up slightly beyond the crease. Next, use a smaller eyeshadow brush to apply a darker version of that same color into your crease. Instead of blending the different shades together, the goal here is to add more definition into the crease through a striking color contrast.

The ‘60s vibe

Let’s take it back to a much simpler time… when eye makeup looks were anything but subtle.

Top fashion houses are paying homage to the ‘60s wide-eyed look again and again with a modern twist on Twiggy-inspired lashes!

How to recreate the stunning wide-eyed look for everyday wear?

Dot an eyeshadow primer over the entire lid and blend it out with your finger. Apply a soft, pastel pink over the lid and bring it up slightly beyond the crease.

Line the eyes all around with a pencil eyeliner. Use a gel or liquid eyeliner to go over the upper lash line and extend that line into a dramatic wing. To glam it up a bit, use a gel eyeliner to line the rim of your bottom waterline, or you can amp up the intensity by patting in a dark eyeshadow over the lower lash line.

But here’s the most important step: Use a mascara with a super slim brush to add some length and definition to your bottom lashes!
