Best Pastel Makeup Looks To Turn Heads

Posted by LiveGlam on May 23, 2022

Pastel shades make our heart sing! Pastel looks are gloriously reminiscent of decades past, especially the 60s, but are also modern and chic in 2022.

The You’re a Gem palette and the Whimsical Garden palette always inspire me to try pastel eye looks, especially in Spring.

Here are our favorite current pastel looks to turn heads!

Pastel Lilac Eyes

The shade Ametrine from You’re a Gem is almost down to pan in my palette, we adore it so. This pastel purple shade flatters almost all skin tones, hair colors, and eye colors, even my flaming red hair and freckled skin.

Here’s our go-to look:

  • Apply your go-to base, aiming for clean and fresh yet light and natural
  • Brush and fill the brows
  • Cancel any redness or discoloration on the eyelids with a longwear cream shadow in a tone that matches your skin
  • Pack Ametrine over the entire lid and through the crease
  • Top with Designer Drip from the Boujee palette
  • Take a black or deep chocolate brown liquid or gel liner and apply a sharp wing flick
  • Add a little depth to the eye by buffing bronzer or a taupe shadow through the crease and into the lower lashes
  • Add mascara and/or falsies
  • Apply a soft pink balm or gloss

Pastel Tangerine Dream

There’s something electrifying about a bright orange pastel eye look, especially when the tones are carried through the cheeks and lips. For this look, we use the Whimsical Garden palette, but you can also use Amber from You’re a Gem palette

  • Apply your go-to base, aiming for clean and fresh yet light and natural
  • Brush and fill the brows
  • Cancel any redness or discoloration on the eyelids with a longwear cream shadow in a tone that matches your skin
  • Buff Fly High and Caterpillar from the Whimsical Garden palette into the lid and crease
  • Pop gold shimmer shadow into the inner corners
  • I leave this look without liner but you could add a black liquid wing
  • Add falsies
  • Buff a peachy tangerine blush into the cheeks, such as the Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush ($20) in Joy
  • Top the cheeks with a little gold highlight
  • Add Foxy Mama to the lips for a matte look, or go with a soft peach gloss to soften it up
  • Go and enjoy a mimosa!

Pastel Mint Choc Chip Eyes

Jade from the You’re a Gem palette is another go-to shade for us. We love to pair it with a matte chocolate brown to create a fresh-yet-sultry mint choc chip look.

  • Apply your go-to base, aiming for clean and fresh yet light and natural
  • Brush and fill the brows
  • Cancel any redness or discoloration on the eyelids with a longwear cream shadow in a tone that matches your skin
  • Buff Jade into the inner half of the lid until you’ve achieved a bright, opaque effect
  • Take a deep chocolate shade and buff through the crease and the lower lash line
  • Smudge a chocolate pencil into the upper lash line and blend with a liner brush
  • Apply mascara and falsies
  • Finish the look with a neutral blush, warm bronzer, and a nude gloss
