4 Steps for Better Skin!

If you aren’t already taking good care of your skin – well, what are you waiting for?

Showering your skin with love in the AM and PM is the easiest way to achieve a healthy, glowing complexion. Not to mention, taking it up a notch with your skincare routine sets the perfect foundation for flawless makeup application.

Not sure where to begin? Here are 4 simple steps to achieve a glow from within!

1. Don’t go to bed without washing your face

Don’t go to bed without washing your face – ever.

No matter how long your day is or even how harmless it might seem to skip this step… don’t do it! Try to implement the 60-second rule into your cleansing ritual. Lather the cleanser in your hands, then gently massage your face in an outward and circular motion for a minimum of 60 seconds.

2. Drink more water

We hear this everywhere, but it’s for a good reason.

Drinking more water throughout the day is great for you skin and your health. That said, water isn’t exactly everyone’s go-to beverage so drinking more water regularly can be tough for some people. Try infusing your water with a handful of your favorite fruits to give it a kick of flavor.

Pro-tip: Instead of using ice cubes, adding frozen fruits to your water is incredibly refreshing!

3. Exfoliate

Exfoliation is one of the most important aspects of your skincare routine. But forget about the gritty drugstore stuff because harsh scrubs are way too abrasive!

Chemical exfoliators, such as AHAs or BHAs work great for getting rid of the buildup of dead skin cells and other gunk that clogs our pores.   

4. It’s never too early to start an anti-aging routine

We all know that one person who started an anti-aging routine pretty early on – you want to be that person.

Don’t wait until your first wrinkle appears to start thinking about anti-aging remedies! You should start incorporating an anti-aging skincare routine into your regimen as soon as your 20s hit.

What’s the #1 culprit when it comes to premature aging? The harmful effects of UV rays. For this reason, make it a habit to start wearing sunscreen on the regular – rain or shine!
