Put Your Best Breast Forward with Body Contour

Posted by LiveGlam on Mar 11, 2018

Ah, The age-old tradition of contouring. While this trend has only recently hit the mainstream beauty market in the past few years, contouring and body contour have been around since the beginning of film and photos. In 2017, we saw the craziest contouring trends of all including booty contouring, foot contouring, and basically every body part you can imagine.

So I can’t exactly justify a great reason for contouring a foot 🙄 but there is definitely some merit in this crazy body contouring trend! I mean, you can just go sweat at the gym for hours, or wear comfortable clothing meant to cinch, push, and pop you into place! Or, you can grab your contour kit and buff n blend the body you want! Sometimes you just gotta see it to manifest it too, so there’s no harm in faking it to you make it.

Brush My Body, Baby

So, there are few areas of the body that you might want to amp up for an evening and there’s no shame in that game! Maybe you don’t want to wear a bra, but you don’t want your cleavage to disappear either! Contouring my boobs is literally my secret weapon and favorite thing to do.  You could also contour your shoulder areas when wearing halters and other off-shoulder tops to get that super defined sexy Kim K look. If you’re rocking shorts and feeling a little flabby, contour your legs to make them look lengthened and toned!

Blend Baby, Blend

When body contouring for public appearances, less is more! Don’t overdo the shadows, and don’t go to contrast-y in colors! That’s a dead giveaway that you got makeup all over your boobs. You want it to look natural I’m pretty sure. So be sure to use a moisturizer and primer on the skin that you contour before starting, this will help the product blend. Nobody wants an unblended contour, and you really don’t want unblended boob contour. Use creamy contour sticks for a more natural look, too! (Be sure to SET!)

You want to place the shadows where they occur naturally. I do this by standing in a full length mirror with overhead lighting so there are natural shadows. I lightly apply the contour in the areas where I want! Then I return to my makeup mirror to get a better view of the blend! Use a contour one or two shades darker than your skin, and apply highlight that is several shades brighter than your skin tone to the high points. Blend with two different brushes, one for the dark and one for the light- like your LiveGlam MorpheMe RG6 and G40. Be sure to blend the tones together. You can set this with powder, and if you need a little bit more definition, go in with a powder contour. If you’re trying to look extra saucey- add some shimmery highlight where you added the lighter cream!

Whether your naturally just extra AF on the reg and body contouring is just right up your alley, or if you have a photoshoot you want to look extra fly for, or if you’re just going out and trying to look your best, boo contour that sexy body! Just be sure to set it well so you’re not slipping and sliding in bronzer all night! Share your thoughts on the trend in the comments!

Stay Glam xoxo
