Best Lipstick for Dry Lips – All Your Top Options

Posted by Preeti Sareen on Feb 05, 2017

There is something so magical about winter. It’s the perfect time of year to bust out an adorable cardigan and some super sultry boots and get your fill of regular pumpkin spice lattes. But, the winter season does come with it’s downfalls. Among them, flaky skin, coarse hair, and dry, cracking lips. Lip balms and moisturizers can save the day, but sometimes, a girl just needs a little color! That’s why we put together a list of picks for the best lipstick for dry lips.

1. Rosebud Perfume Co. Rosebud Salve, $6

If you’re not big on the bold lipstick color but still want a way to keep your lips moist and happy with a little bit of tint, you need a little Rosebud Salve in your life. This salve has been around for years, and for good reason! Made from cotton seed oil, essential oils, and a host of botanicals, this salve isn’t just for dry lips. In fact, it’ll soothe everything from rough elbows and knees to diaper rash (you know, if you’ve got a baby in need!). The salve is naturally tinted slightly red due to the different natural oils in it, which means your lips will be free of cracking all while having a slight “just-bitten” look.

2. Covergirl Colorlicious Oh Sugar! Lip Balm, $8

For lipstick color fanatics, this is, in our opinion, the best lipstick for dry lips. It’s the perfect cross between being a moisturizing lip balm and being an actual lip stick and it comes in a ton of gorgeous colors, including a few pinks, reds, and an amazing mauve. Plus, the lipstick names include: Sprinkle, Gumdrop, Soda, and more, which just adds to the cuteness of the whole thing!

3. Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lipstick, $7

If Covergirl’s lip balm didn’t give you enough of a color range, Rimmel London has got you covered. Their Moisture Renew Lipstick features over 24 gorgeous, moisturizing colors. The lipsticks were formulated with vitamins A, C, and E, and were made to keep your lips pucker-ready through these long winter months. We especially love this product because these lipsticks are frequently on sale at Ulta!

4. Bobbi Brown Creamy Lip Color, $28

Okay, we’ve given you a few relatively cheap options for products we think could be the best lipstick for dry lips. As true makeup lovers, we had to give you a more elite option, too. After all, who doesn’t love a little makeup splurge? That’s exactly what you’ll get with this Creamy Lip Color by Bobbi Brown. The lipstick color selection may not be as variable as Rimmel London’s, but honey, this lipstick is so worth it. The color is rich, lasts most of the day, and will feel absolutely wonderful on your lips.
